'Survivor Greece' Contestant Sues Producers for $100 Million After Losing Leg on Set

Stavros Floros went on 'Survivor Greece' to compete. He came home with one leg, a 61-day hospital stay, and a lawsuit accusing the show's producers of putting contestants in the path of tourist boats without a single safety measure in place.

Stavros Floros is suing the producers of "Survivor Greece" for $100 million, claiming the show failed to keep him safe, and it cost him his leg.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the 22-year-old contestant was spearfishing for food during filming in open water near the Dominican Republic when he was struck by a tour boat propeller on May 11, 2026.

Floros’ leg was severed above the knee, and he says the only thing that kept him alive was a tourniquet applied by a stranger aboard the boat that hit him.

He was later transferred to a Miami hospital, where he underwent multiple surgeries over the course of a 61-day hospitalization.

The lawsuit alleges that producers required the show’s contestants to spearfish in waters where a lot of tourist boats traveled. It also stated there were no safety boats, protected zones, or adequate warning markers in place, despite prior close calls and a previous death in the same area.

The suit names production companies Acun Medya, Acun Medya Global, Acun LLC, Acun Ilicali, and Greek broadcaster Skai TV as defendants.

"I want the world to know the truth: that I went onto a reality show and ended up with only one leg at 22 years old," Floros said in a statement to Us Weekly. He added that he hopes the case encourages accountability from producers of similar shows.

Floros' attorney, Jason Margulies, called the incident an example of a production company overlooking contestant safety in favor of profits.

Skai TV has suspended the show pending investigation.

Floros has continued documenting his recovery on Instagram, most recently showing himself using a walker to get around.
